Best Man Speeches for Weddings

Your best friend choose you as his best man for the wedding and you’re so cool with it until someone says that dreaded sentence, “What are you going to say in your best man speech at the wedding?”.  From that point on every time you think about it your stomach tighten up, your palms get sweating and you break out in a sweat.  What have you let yourself in for?

You?  Talking in front of a large group of people?  Impossible!

Cheer up!  It’s not that bad, especially if you start early with your wedding speech. Most best men wait until the last minute to prepare their speech for the wedding but since you’re here, that’s not going to be you.  Unless the wedding is tomorrow, then you’re in trouble!

Not really trouble but your wedding speech for the groom is not going to be the best unless you have a few pointers to help you out with your best man speech for wedding.

You want your wedding speech to the groom and his bride to be one of sincerity, honor and of course, humor.  It’s your one chance to make those funny little digs without someone saying you’re being a jerk.  This is also the opportunity to let a few cats out of the bag -- in the nicest way possible, of course.

The Internet is loaded with samples of best man speeches for weddings so it’s relative easy to choose one to use as a template.  There’s no harm in that!  It actually makes your speech a better one because you have something to relate to the lives of your best friend, the groom.

Choose a best man sample speech that closely related to your style and personality.  It can be funny, casual or formal.  As long as it matches you and the groom!  If the groom is a more serious guy then your wedding speech should be on the formal side but if he has an ounce of humor then you can use that in your speech.

Don’t forget to add a few remakes about the bride during your speech.  If you don’t know her very well then ask her family members to tell you a bit about her.  Also, even though you’re the best man for the groom, you should introduce yourself, just in case the wedding guests from out of town don’t know who you are.

Try to focus on the grooms achievements and strong points but don’t forget to keep the ribbing on the gentle side.  Emotions run very high at weddings and it’s easy for thing to get out of control.  He will thank you for the consideration.
Do take some time to think about it your speech before the event.Do make sure your speech is special; don’t just talk in order to say something.Do make your speech about the groom and his bride.                           Do include humor in your wedding speech.  It helps relieve stress for you and the guests.Do try to have fun with your speech.
It’s the last time you’ll ever have this opportunity to rib the groom, so make the best of it in your best man speech for the wedding of your best friend.
